Ireland should become a world leader in research, an ambition that would be helped by winning €1 billion from the EU’s Horizon 2020 research funding programme, said MEP Sean Kelly.
The Fine Gael MEP was speaking at the end of an international conference in Brussels on 8 March entitled EU Science: Global Challenges, Global Collaboration, organised under the Irish Presidency in conjunction with the company Intelligence in Science.
