Research charity makes board appointment

Consultant ophthalmologist David Keegan has been appointed to the board of research charity Fighting Blindness. The eye surgeon at the Mater Hospital in Dublin will bring clinical and research expertise to the position, the charity said in a statement on 26 February.

Keegan has experience in retinal transplantation and disease and has trained in Ireland, the UK and the US. He has been involved in Fighting Blindness since 2008.
