€1.5m for tech-related startups

Enterprise Ireland has announced funding worth €1.5 million for startup and early-stage companies involved in techology product development, with a particular emphasis on “fintech” products related to financial markets.

The pair of calls for the Regional Entreperneurship and FinTech Competitive Start Funds, announced on 8 June, open for applications on 21 June. Up to 30 projects across both funds will receive up to €50,000 and business development support.

Areas of interest for Enterprise Ireland across both calls include games, apps, mobile services, food, cleantech, cloud computing, and fintech products and services, such as payments, banking and security.
