The Irish Research Council and the French Embassy have marked the 20th anniversary of the Ulysses research support scheme with an event in Dublin.
Research supported by the programme, and highlighted at the event on 29 May, includes studies into the greenhouse effect and on marine biotechnology, but awards can be made in any discipline.
There have been 600 recipients of awards since the programme’s inception, and the 2017 call for projects has been made.
