Thirty-eight Irish Fulbright scholars, including students, academics and professionals from 15 higher education institutions in Ireland and Europe, were announced by Ireland’s minister for foreign affairs and a representative from the United States embassy in Dublin on 12 June.
Award recipients will travel to study in leading US higher education institutions and collaborate with others working in similar areas of research in the sciences and the humanities.
The programme encourages cultural exchange and opens up travel and educational opportunities, the Fulbright Commission said in a statement.
