The Irish Cancer Society has invited expressions of interest in its Clinician Researcher Award 2017 from senior medical consultants.
The award provides protected research time for an experienced consultant working in an oncology-related area. It would allow the consultant to be released from two days of clinical commitments a week over a period of two years, the Society said in a statement on 28 June.
The goal was to allow an experienced practitioner to strengthen the link between research and clinical practice, the Society said.
