The annual round of Fulbright fellowships and professional awards is open for applications from Irish students and academics, with awards possible in all disciplines.
The awards to support educational and cultural exchange make it possible for the holder to live and work at a host institution in the United States.
Successful applicants will receive a grant, insurance, visa assistance and ongoing support while in the US. Special awards are also available in selected disciplines, the Fulbright Commission said in a statement issued on 31 August.
