Ulster University is to lead two three-year research projects that will seek to improve health outcomes for older people living in rural areas.
The projects have a combined budget of €3.7 million from the European Union’s Northern Periphery and Arctic 2014-2020 Programme, the university said in a statement released on 12 September.
The projects have partners in Cork, Letterkenny and Limerick, as well as Iceland, Finland, Greenland and Sweden.
