Irish council names top researchers

Anna Davies, a political scientist at Trinity College Dublin, has been named researcher of the year in the annual awards programme run by the Irish Research Council.

Davies received the award, announced on 6 December, for her research related to environmental governance and sustainability. She is a principal investigator in Trinity’s Environmental Governance Research Group.

The early-career researcher of the year was Karen English of Maynooth University. She works in the university’s immunology institute and is involved in developing treatments for inflammatory diseases.
