United-States-based company Viasat is to expand its Dublin base to create about 100 new jobs.
The company’s 100 existing staff work on a range of projects in the commercial aviation and satellite sectors. The company plans to expand to 200, or possibly 250, staff to develop software for marine technologies, residential broadband and wireless internet, the company said in a statement released on 4 April.
Viasat is already involved in satellite communications and the Dublin centre’s staff will be involved in the company’s next-generation, ultra-high-capacity satellite platform, known as ViaSat-3.
