Businessman James Kennedy has been appointed as chairman of the board at Ireland’s National Standards Authority.
Kennedy has worked in various fields, including food, multinational health care, agri-services and facilities management. He is chairman of the board and a director of business process specialist Fraysen Systems. He has served in other public and private sector roles.
Junior minister Pat Breen announced the appointment on 9 April. He said he was “delighted” that Kennedy would take over just as the authority comes to grips with regulatory change in Europe and beyond, caused by Brexit.
