Public-private partnerships set up to put Ireland at the forefront of technology

The government has begun positioning Ireland as a player in the move towards autonomous vehicles, with the formation of a €4.2 million collaboration.

Lero, the Irish Software Research Centre based at the University of Limerick, will lead the project, which was announced on 2 October. The project will also involve the participation of other research centres including Connect, the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Future Networks and Communications and the Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics.
