The government has made €100 million available to help support research projects as part of its disruptive technologies innovation fund.
A collection of ministers was on hand at the University of Limerick on 5 July to launch the second call under the fund, which is part of a wider national plan, Future Jobs Ireland. It is designed to encourage more collaboration between academic researchers, large enterprises and small to medium-sized companies.
The €100 million will support a number of three-year research projects up to 2022.
