Adapt research centre brought €300 million to the Irish economy over three years

Artificial intelligence research carried out at Adapt, Science Foundation Ireland’s research centre for digital media technology, has yielded more than a fivefold return on investment, an impact study has shown.

Adapt returns €5.30 for every €1 spent on science there, according to the report published on 24 September by Dublin City University’s business school and Maynooth University. This represented a benefit of €300 million to the Irish economy over the past three years, the report said.
