Government maps out €1bn innovation district

Dockside park hoped to bring together start-ups, universities and big business to boost R&D

Ireland’s government has approved a plan to build a €1.1-billion innovation quarter in central Dublin through a 10-year investment programme that is hoped to deliver a financial return of €3.2bn.

The cabinet accepted the findings of an advisory report that strongly recommended the project, and published the full report on 3 January.
