Research board pitches millions to fix urgent problems in Irish medical care
Ireland’s Health Research Board is to spend €4.5 million on a project to attract more doctors into clinical research activities.
The HRB Collaborative Doctoral Programme will back three research and training groups working in specific areas of interest, the board said in a statement issued on 14 January. The goal is to improve the care available for stroke patients, support research into chronic illnesses and investigate better treatments for patients with diabetic foot disease, the board said.
