Majority of winners are social science projects, announces Irish Research Council
Researchers working in Ireland have won four European Research Council Advanced Grants, the council’s most prestigious award, which will bring a combined €10 million in funding to the country.
The projects include a study of ancient DNA, the effects of trauma on psychological health, the impact of migration on identity and the development of unique materials that capture harmful gases. Three of the four projects are in the social sciences and humanities and one is in chemistry.
