Windfall SFI funding set to boost high-risk, highly innovative projects with diverse goals
Science Foundation Ireland has awarded €53.7 million to researchers working on health and climate-related research across 10 Irish higher education institutions.
The funding, which is for both fundamental and applied research, comes from the SFI’s Frontiers for the Future programme. Funded research topics include batteries, native honeybees, future coastal sea levels, childhood ADHD, antivirals to treat Covid-19, and the link between obesity and cancer.
