Universities to receive €3 million per year for support measures aimed at opening higher education

Higher education institutions in Ireland are to receive €3 million a year from 2022 to 2025 to make their campuses more inclusive for students with autism and intellectual disabilities, the Irish government has announced.

Sensory rooms, quiet zones and inclusive teaching, learning and assessment practices are among the kinds of support that will be developed through the funding.
