Universities and other research organisations spent €672 million on research in 2021
Irish research organisations spent more than half a billion euros on research in 2021—the highest spend on record, according to a survey by Knowledge Transfer Ireland.
KTI, a body that connects businesses to public research funding, calculates that universities, institutes of technology and other publicly funded research institutions spent €672 million on research in 2021.
