Rise brings stipend to €22,000 per year for doctoral researchers

The Irish government has announced a €3,000 increase in the PhD stipend provided by the competitive funding agencies Science Foundation Ireland and the Irish Research Council. 

The rise, planned for the country’s 2024 budget, will bring the stipend to €22,000 per year for doctoral researchers, effective from January.
