Naming of Irish Research Council and Science Foundation Ireland merger gives “clarity and impact”

Taighde Éireann—Research Ireland will be the name of the country’s new unified funding agency, research minister Simon Harris has announced.

Government plans to unify the existing Irish Research Council and Science Foundation Ireland in one body should become even clearer shortly, as the legislation to deliver the merge is now promised in the coming weeks.
