Ireland launches drive to attract global research talent

     

Strategy coincides with several governments across Europe cracking down on international student numbers

Ireland’s government has launched an innovation strategy to deepen its engagement with the European Universities Alliance and make the country the “first-choice destination for international talent”.

The Global Citizens 2030 initiative will aim to attract international learners, researchers and innovators, and underpin a new era of collaboration between Ireland, Northern Ireland and Great Britain. It also aims to enhance Ireland’s influence in EU education and research policy.
