Ireland’s research minister announces renewal after meeting with US National Science Foundation director

The US and Ireland have renewed a programme focused on boosting student mobility and research collaboration between the two nations.

Ireland’s research minister Simon Harris (pictured, right) said the renewal of the programme, which aims to facilitate the exchange of PhD students in data science and ICT, represented a real and tangible outcome of his government department’s recent trip to Washington DC, “where we sought to solidify and strengthen relationships between our two great countries”.
