PhD rules changed to make civil service more attractive
A rule change on PhDs could soon help postdocs embark on better civil-servant careers. The imminent changes to Italy’s 2013 PhD decree will see the creation of a national register of PhD students and postdoctoral scholars. The updated decree includes a provision that PhDs must offer students more chances of reaching “top professional levels” in public administration jobs.
