Top-billed research centre’s future uncertain as proposal to change funding structure crawls through parliament
The Human Technopole, a medical and nutrition research foundation and centre, might be drastically changed in shape and scope after coming under fierce criticism.
The centre is under fire for plans to give it significant government funding without a competitive procedure, and a “favourable treatment”, compared to the rest of Italy’s public research institutes.
