De lobby voor een zelfstandige plaats voor social sciences and humanities (SSH) in Horizon 2020 lijkt geslaagd; het programma krijgt waarschijnlijk de titel ‘Europe in a changing world’. Het gaat – met een eigen budget – deel uitmaken van inclusive, innovative and secure societies, de zesde van de societal challenges van Horizon 2020. Verscheidene Europese organisaties hebben zich sterk gemaakt voor SSH, waaronder de League of Research Universities (LERU) en de European Alliance for the Social Sciences and Humanities. (Neth-er)
