Delft ready to make open science standard practice

Technical university agrees to implement programme of support for open data and publication

Open science is on its way to being embedded in Delft University of Technology’s activities after the institution’s executive board endorsed a programme to support free access to publications and data.

Irene Haslinger, a member of the steering committee that developed the Open Science Programme 2020-24, said the decision would make open science a university-wide effort. “In the past few years a lot has happened in the field of open science, but that was mainly projects and initiatives from the library,” she said.
