Guus Rijnders, chair of NanoLabNL, warns that failure to invest could harm the field
NanoLabNL, a network of nanotechnology research facilities at Dutch universities, is looking for additional funding to keep its facilities available and up to date. Since the government has not budgeted for any investment in the network’s facilities in 2020, chair Guus Rijnders hopes to find the necessary funding through closer collaboration with public-private research programmes.
Speaking to Research Netherlands, Rijnders said that NanoLabNL needed additional investments of €20 million a year, plus the same amount to cover operational costs.
