Dutch royal society wants efforts to disseminate results integral to career progression

Science communication needs to viewed as an essential part of the open access process to support academics engaging in the work, a report by the Dutch royal society, the KNAW, has found.

A KNAW report published on 31 October states that science communication should be part of the “full academic task package”. In order to achieve this, science communication should be integrated in all phases of a research project, just like other elements of open science.
