Agreement allows lecturers to share up to 40 pages of copyrighted works

Dutch universities and publishers have reached a ‘buyout’ deal for 2023 to 2025 on the use of copyrighted material at universities.

The latest agreement under the Easy Access arrangement will allow lecturers to copy and distribute up to 40 pages of a copyrighted publication without having to pay additional fees, as long as this does not exceed 20 per cent of the total publication.
