Governing body for open science established

    

Open Science NL will distribute funding and support to Dutch institutions

An organisation to oversee the development of open science in the Netherlands has been formally established by 15 academic institutions and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.

Open Science NL will distribute funding and administrative support to improve open-access publishing and increase the impact of Dutch science. The covenant to create the body was signed on 29 March at Delft University of Technology.
