Dutch science minister outlines five urgent policy issues
The Netherlands must make some crucial decisions to guarantee a robust higher education system and a competitive research environment by 2040, science minister Robbert Dijkgraaf has said.
In a letter to parliament on 8 September, Dijkgraaf (pictured) outlined five urgent issues: improving opportunities for students; aligning education with labour market needs; addressing the interests of all Dutch regions; enhancing equality; and identifying the role of science for the society of the future.
