Over €10 million handed to projects looking into benefits and threats of quantum developments

Dutch funders have handed out more than €10 million to 19 quantum technology research projects covering a wide variety of topics—from improved magnetic sensing to superconducting microwave resonators.

This was the second round of grants from the Netherlands’ quantum technology programme, with funds coming from the government’s National Growth Fund (NGF). The awards have been organised and administered by the Dutch Research Council (NGO) and Quantum Delta NL (QDNL). Researchers have the option of using the grants to cover personnel costs.
