Dutch minister calls for action to protect global scientists

New report shows more is needed to keep scientists free from intimidation, says Robbert Dijkgraaf

The Dutch science minister Robbert Dijkgraaf has called for more action to protect scientists around the world, after a study found they are increasingly in jeopardy.

“The work of scientists is crucial. The increasing insecurity of scientists is therefore a truly worrying trend. More action is needed to ensure they have the freedom and safety to do their work to the best of their ability,” Dijkgraaf said.
