Board members mull potential targets to spend DKK1bn earmarked for sustainability and green innovation
The board of Danmarks Forskningsfond, the body that oversees Denmark’s three public research funds, has urged the government to draw on their expertise when apportioning a giant fund for green research.
The government is planning to spend 1 billion Danish kroner (€134 million), as was announced in a recent budget bill by the new centre-left Social Democratic government. In a plea on the website of the Frie Forskningsfond, which supports basic research, the board members were quick to make suggestions on how that money might be best spent.
