Low-quality programme in professional practice is up for the chop
Nord University in Bodø, northern Norway could lose its status as a higher education institution, because one of its doctoral courses does not meet the requirements for accreditation.
According to the National Agency for Quality in Education (Nokut), the university’s degree programme in studies of professional practice is insufficiently developed to be accredited. A Norwegian university needs to offer a minimum of four doctoral programmes; losing this course would reduce the number offered by Nord to three.
