Open access at Denmark’s universities tops 60%

All universities have increased or maintained their share of open-access articles in the past year

Three universities in Denmark have exceeded this year’s target of publishing 63 per cent of scientific articles in an open-access format, according to the sixth edition of the Danish open-access indicator.

The annual indicator showed that the IT University of Copenhagen, the Technical University of Denmark and the University of Southern Denmark now published more than two-thirds of articles open access. The IT University of Copenhagen has reached a 100 per cent open-access publication rate, the indicator showed.
