Both researchers and students criticise government plans for university funding

The Norwegian government’s budget plans have raised concerns among staff and students in the country’s higher education system.

Forskerforbundet, a researchers’ association, questioned whether research was still a priority for the government, while Norway’s biggest student organisation condemned plans to make international students pay tuition fees.
