Government commits to review to improve transparency and assessment criteria
The Norwegian government has announced it will set up an expert group to review the requirements for higher education institutions to become fully fledged universities.
The aim of this planned reform to the accreditation process is to make requirements more accurate and the regulations more transparent, the government said. Next year, the government is planning to propose a new Universities Act for Norway, and the report is to be used as input for the preparatory legislative work, it said.
