Number of academics with only “foreign” degrees jumps by 4 per cent
The number of internationally recruited researchers—those who hold only foreign degrees—increased in Sweden by almost 4 per cent between 2021 and 2022.
The figure is cited in a report by the Swedish Higher Education Authority (UKÄ) this month. The report shows that, while overall numbers of international researchers are increasing steadily, there is huge variation between subject areas and career levels.
