University admissions will be simplified so that tests and grades are the chief deciding factors
The Norwegian government is making moves to reduce the number of routes for students to enter higher education. This follows the proposals of a committee in 2022 to streamline and centralise the current system.
Present rules allow institutions to set up their own rules and admit students according to local or regional demands. These possibilities are expected to be diminished.
