Research on the Muslim Brotherhood had been referred to police for lacking ethics approvals
A police investigation into a Swedish-Egyptian researcher has been dropped after a prosecutor ruled it would be impossible to prove that he broke ethics rules.
Sameh Egyptson had been reported to the authorities by the national Ethics Review Appeals Board because of accusations that he lacked approval to do the research for his PhD, which he completed last year at Lund University.
