Researchers owning legal rights helps to promote Swedish startup culture, says report

Sweden’s startups enjoy high success rates because researchers, as opposed to universities, hold the legal rights of innovation, according to a new report from a consultancy at Uppsala University.

Uppsala University Innovation says the university has spun out 227 companies since the 1990s, of which 193 are still active.
