In the light of the economic turmoil in Europe, Nordic governments are focusing their research priorities for 2012 on the areas of greatest importance to the region.
Nordforsk, a pan-Nordic research agency based in Oslo, is to launch a new educational research programme this spring. The goal of this initiative will be to bolster the international position of the Nordic countries in this area of research, and to contribute to policy-making within education. The programme will have some overlap with other initiatives in health research.
