Simpler funding for Norway’s research institutes
Norway is to revamp funding for independent research institutes to allow faster, less complicated access to public funding. The government proposes to place more importance on commissioned research when allocating basic funding, arguing that commissioned research means clearer targets against which to measure research performance.
