Switzerland and Argentina sign research deal

Switzerland's government has signed a partnership agreement with Argentina on developing joint research projects, grants, researcher exchanges and processes for transferring knowledge and technological expertise.

The deal was completed with the signing of a joint declaration by Mauro Dell’Ambrogio, Switzerland’s state secretary for education, research and innovation, and Lino Barañao, the Argentinian minister for science, technology and productive innovation, during the visit of a Swiss delegation to Argentina on 23 to 28 June.

The delegation included representatives from the Swiss National Science Foundation, Switzerland’s federal institutes of technology and several Swiss universities.
