The Swiss National Science Foundation has appointed an international advisory board to make recommendations on its long-term strategy.
The advisory board is an independent body that will help to broaden the SNSF’s horizons, according to Matthias Egger, president of the foundation’s National Research Council. “We would like to have a clearer idea of things beyond our backyard,” he said in a statement.
The five members of the board are all drawn from across Europe, the SNSF announced on 6 December, although one member is from Switzerland.
