Association will support and lobby for young researchers
The Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences has launched the Swiss Young Academy to support young academics in the country, after mulling the idea since 2012. More than 40 such organisations now exist around the world, according to the Global Young Academy network.
The Swiss Young Academy has said its main goals are to develop members’ skills and grow their academic networks. The fledgling organisation says it will offer career opportunities, such as a mentoring programme.
