Innovation funding boost for 145 Norwegian companies

The Norwegian government has awarded funding worth more than 1.1 billion Norwegian kroner (€113 million) to support industry innovation.

The funding is split between several ministries and will be administered by the Forskningsrådet, the country’s research council, it was announced on 14 March. The council will oversee the spending process and has already chosen the winning companies, it says.

In total, the money will fund 145 companies working on innovative products. Each participant in the project is expected to match the government funding.
